Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a tattooing technique that replicates the appearance of hair follicles by matching your natural hair color and skin tone. Our SMP process begins with a consultation, where we work together to develop a personalized treatment plan. You will also receive a “mock up” of your new look. This serves as the basis for the communication as we collaborate on your desired look.
The treatment consists of three sessions, scheduled two weeks apart. After the first session, some light fading is expected as the ink settles into the scalp. With each successive session, the pigment deepens, creating a more natural and defined look. On average, two to three sessions are needed to achieve the desired results.
The Treatment Process
Session #1
The Foundation
The first session is all about laying the foundation for your SMP treatment. During this session, we establish your new hairline and apply the first layer of pigment across all necessary areas based on your desired look.
This initial application provides immediate results, giving you the first glimpse of your transformed appearance.
The pigment may appear lighter as it settles into the scalp over the next two weeks. This healing period allows your skin to rest and the pigment to stabilize before the next session.
Session #2
Depth of Color and Tone
In the second session, we focus on deepening the color and refining the overall tone to create a more natural appearance. A new layer of pigment is applied, enhancing the density and richness of the look.
At this stage, you’ll notice the treatment taking on a more defined and richer appearance. Any necessary adjustments are made to ensure even coverage and smooth blending.
The healing process after this session is crucial, as it allows the new pigment to integrate with the previous layer, preparing the scalp for the final touches in the third session.
Session #3
The Detail Work
The final session is where we fine-tune the details, ensuring a seamless and polished result. We focus on adding the finishing touches, making subtle adjustments for balance, consistency, and realism.
Another layer of pigment is applied to enhance depth, bringing the overall look together for a natural and cohesive finish.
By this stage, your SMP treatment is complete, leaving you with a well-defined, long-lasting result that blends perfectly with your natural features.
